Google has a long history of philanthropy and decided that they wanted to help get NYC into the spirit of giving by teaming up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure on a special project that would help get the city’s businesses and consumers into the spirit of donating to help fight against breast cancer.

Google came to us looking to build which would allow businesses to sign up and get a pink pin on our Google map to show their support and allow consumers to donate from their store fronts. The site is built entirely using Google tools and APIs. We’ve integrated with Google Maps, Google Calendar, Picasa, YouTube and built the entire solution to run on Google’s cloud solution, App Engine.
